Gundaroo & District Historical Society ~ Open Day

In conjunction with the Gundaroo Rural Fire Brigade’s ‘Get Ready Weekend’ and the Gundaroo Literary Institute we will be welcoming visitors on:
Saturday, 20 September
between 10am and 2pm

So call in and visit us in the Literary Institute. We will have a wide range of records on display including some from Gundaroo Public School’s historic collection. Maybe you can help identify some of the events and people in these school photos.

Community Group Description

The Gundaroo and District Historical Society aims to:-

  • preserve documents, objects and records pertinent to the history of the village and surrounds
  • record the lives of the people who played a part in the formation of the village; and
  • share the information with the community through annual exhibitions.

The Society also looks after the Genealogy website created by the late Graeme Challinor.  The information on these pages is of great use to family and local historians and includes:-
